Our next immediate goal is to become a true certified Non- Profit. We need to raise $329 for attorney filing fees and then the cost of the papers to be filed. So we are asking for help in any way you can, we were thinking if each of our friends could donate $1

(which is the equivalent of almost 2 postage stamps, a notebook,

a McDonald's coffee, a donut shop donut, you get the point)

We would be able to file our papers ASAP. Enabling us to do so much more good.

Think of how much less we would bug you for donations. It would be so much easier to send a ton more troop care packages, and homeless bags, with large companies willing to donate items and funds to help do so.We'd be able to apply for grants, accept donations from corporations,

as well as provide tax deductible donations for everyone.

I really don't enjoy asking for money, it's really not the fun part, but before stepping out of my comfort zone to do so, I am reminded of all the many more people that can be helped, so I did it-- I asked for help!

I'd also like to personally thank each and every person who helps us raise the funds for our filing status change. Words can not describe how thankful I am.

Hi Friends,
Don't worry - our page has not been hacked and cleaned up! We have been working on a new website and decided to keep this site as the attached blog- so get ready for a new look. I've been working hard while learning how to build a website. It has become a challenge, I for my own sanity, have to overcome. Hopefully it will be met with much liking, that sure would make it easier on my over critical eye!! Just kidding!! But I am excited to share with you all the new site. As always, suggestions, comments, and questions are always welcomed with open arms, and on the new site- there is a super easy "contact us" form to fill out, and with a click of a button it'll get sent! We wanted to share that we are now scheduling group's (church, scouts, clubs) for March "Operation: Send Some Cheer" participation dates!!

Host your next meeting at our location and help assemble care packages for the troops! We'll work with you and try to plan it for your regular meeting day and time. If we can make it happen - we will! You can hold a collection prior to your scheduled date to help increase the number of packages to be sent (that's optional)!

If you are interested send a message to allforhelping@ymail, and we'll get you on the calender!

We'll be creating either St. Patrick's Day care packages or Easter care packages. (Not Christmas that's shown above!)

Help Marine John Norton Meet His Goal

YAY!! JOHN NORTON'S GOAL HAS BEEN MET!!

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE BOOK!!

While I was browsing the internet I came across a really cool project being created by John Norton, a marine. He's creating a book called, Deployment Faces. It's a photo diary of ten Marines and how they change both emotionally and physically while on deployment. The first photo will be taken the morning they board their plane to Afghanistan, the last photo being taken upon returning home to the United States.

He's only got 6 days left to complete the funding goal for his project or he doesn't get any of the funds already pledged if his goal isn't met. Check it out online HERE. Plus he's got really cool t-shirts for pledges!!

Even if you can't pledge yourself, help him gain awareness of his project by sharing it with friends and family as well as liking his Facebook Page.

I hope to see this project come to print because it would make an awesome Christmas or Birthday gift for my husband or son!!

Here's what our new space looks like. If you look close you'll see our signs in the window!

We're working on trying to get a banner to show the world where we are,

but for now look for the four wheeler (the one I'm really tempted to take for a ride)!!

And... don't listen to the "chalkboard easel" it say's to "Come to the back", or the "Open" sign,

that's RRP's way of letting their customers know where they are now---since they so kindly

let us use their store space-- and that they did not go out of business!

We're so thankful they shared their space with us!

Amazing Day Today!

Today turned out to be AMAZING!! People found their way in to visit at our new location!

We would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to St. Rose of Lima Church in Oxford

for your very generous box of goods to send to the troops.

We put them to good use starting assembly on 78 care packages!

With another 39 waiting for table space. Your donation helped create 117

care packages so far and we still have stuff to use. Thank you so much for everything.

We're asking everyone to check your pantry and see if you can help us finish these packages we started.

We are in need of individual packages of nuts, jerky or beef sticks, and drink mixes.

Then we can get these Valentine's bagged and boxed up --then out they'll go!!

So our 200 bag challenge is almost met! We can do it!! Thanks everyone for all your help.

We just received a donation of about 200 fabric drawstring bags, from friends in Florida,

for Operation Send Some Cheer. Now we need to fill them!

We're working on Valentines's care packages for the troops and we have been sending what we can with what we have, but now.....being given so many bags is like an unwritten challenge to see how fast we can fill them and ship them out! So if anyone has some packaged snacks or individually wrapped anything, they'd like to bring by- we sure wouldn't mind! Help us fill these bags!

Stop in to write out Valentine's to go along with the care packages.

We're at our new location on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 -12:30.

Coupons and Coffee a Success and New News!

"Coupons and Coffee" started the day off successfully- thank you to all that made it! While talking coupons, we also created 20 care packages to be sent out today as well! For those who couldn't join us today, we hope you'll grace us with your presence next week!

On another note- we here at All For Helping have many activities planned for the next few months and are putting into action many more, so keep checking our "Current Events" for updates.

Savvy Shopping Results

We had such a wonderful turnout at our Operation: Send Some Cheer Event in the Phillipsburg Mall, we have made it a year round effort, extending it past it's intended holiday only season.

While there, we were able to ship out almost 900 care packages to deployed soldiers, almost doubling our original goal of 500! During our final few days, we had a very generous donation of gift cards from the Greenwich Shoprite, which we only spent part of immediately to complete the care packages that needed to be finished, leaving us with a balance. Then on the last day, after packing our things to move, a volunteer , Kelli D., showed up with an amazing donation -- boxes of toothpaste and toothbrushes she secured from a contact at Colgate-Palmolive.

How could we pack up and go home only to wait until next year? We still had some donations left, and gift cards for Shoprite, now toothpaste and toothbrushes!! Finding a new location to continue assembly became imperative. After calling numerous places, only to be rejected- one was finally interested in helping our cause....

A new program we developed to help like minded individuals get together to swap coupons, learn new tricks, enjoy delicious coffee, and try for a chance to win the weekly "door prize"!! A weekly printout will be provided highlighting coupons that will score free products and at which store!!

You can partake in the fun for a small donation to All For Helping (either monetary or product). All donations will be used to help others via a food bank, homeless shelter, injured veterans, or though Operation: Send Some Cheer. We hope you'll join us.

We Have Updated Our Operation: Send Some Cheer Site!

It's been a little slow in regards to care package assembly and shipping them out since we have left the mall, but we now have a new location! We look forward to hitting full swing and getting things back up and running as so we can keep showing our soldier's support and appreciation.

Any ideas for fundraising and events are much appreciated and much needed. Please don't be shy- send them along, so they can be developed and used. If you bring an idea to the table you can become involved if you'd like or you can just submit it for it to be ran with! You decide your participation level- this is a volunteer based effort.

of our support for what they do,

Since we have left the Mall our stuff has been in boxes---Until Today!! Today was "moving in" day at our NEW LOCATION-- one of Rossini's Racing's storefront's- the one that is on Route 57. Rossini Racing Products Has Donated Space!!

Rossini's Racing Products have donated the use of their storefront that faces the highway for us to continue assembling troop care packages. The address is 2546 Route 57, Stewartsville.

In preparation to getting settled in we are looking for folding tables to use. If anybody has any extra laying around that we could borrow- we sure would love that!! Just send me a message at allforhelping@ymail.com.

Family Loses Everything to Fire- We Need to Help!

A friend's sister just lost her house and all her belongings to a fire. They are left with the clothes on their back and the shoes they were wearing. Everyone at All For Helping would like to extend their deepest sympathies to that family and offer help.

They live in a fairly remote area but have access to a Walmart and Target. The family consists of Mom, Dad, Son, age 16 size large, 11 shoe, 30x30 pants., and Daughter, age 18 and tiny @ size 2.

We will be collecting gift cards to Walmart and Target (they are the two closest stores in their area). Any donations collected can be dropped off to H & K Auto Body Repairs (2566 route 57 in Stewartsville) and The Underdog Stand (in front of Greenwhich Home Depot). The gift cards will then be mailed directly to the family. Thanks so much in advance for all your help.

Operation: Send Some Cheer has come to a close in the Phillipsburg Mall. It proved to be a very successful event, shipping more than 800 care packages! I'd like to extend a big Thank You to all who were involved. We will continue sending care packages throughout the year, and are looking for a new space. Thank you for all the wonderful donations of time, care package items, and shipping funds for Operation: Send Some Cheer. Things are running smoothly and we'll have a number of care packages sent posted tomorrow.We have had some specific requests made in addition to the original Troops' Wish List. Operation: Send Some Cheer is starting off with much success at the Phillipsburg Mall! Pictures will be posted with our progress tomorrow. We will be there all this week from 11am until 8 pm Monday through Saturday and 11am until 6 pm on Sunday- so if you are around- stop in and visit. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and a productive Black Friday! With all the many deals the stores were offering it was hard not to shop. I scored some free toothpaste, energy strips, chapsticks, and holiday cards for practically nothing at Walgreens and CVS to donate to Operation: Send Some Cheer, which is rapidly approaching. Starting Monday I'll be at the Phillipsburg Mall all day everyday for a full week assembling care packages for the Troops. If you'd like to get involved - stop by! Hope to see you all there!

Holiday Cards to Print and Make at Home Pack 2

These cards were created to print and assemble to send to the Troops.

They are also great to give to family, friends, co-workers, teachers, or anyone special. The first two style cards need to be fed through the printer twice so the inside and outside of the card gets printed. I always print the inside first, then the outside, so the main picture doesn't get smudged.

This one " Snowy Thoughts" is for little ones to color.

The inside says: " In hopes you have a wonderful Holiday! Thanks for all you do!"

This snowman card " Snowman Hugs" has a child hugging a snowman.

The inside reads " Holiday Hugs sent from afar! Merry Christmas!

This "Holiday Stocking Card " is a print, cut and assemble project. The finished card has a layered look and you'll need a hole punch, ribbon, scissors, and glue to create this one.

The inside says " ho-ho-hoping you have a great holiday! Thank you for all you do!

Holiday Cards to Print and Make at Home Pack 1

These cards were created as a compliment to our Snowman Soup Project, as an alternative to the hang tag. The saying is printed on the inside, so the card serves as a "jacket" to the assembled snowman soup packet. They are great to make and give to neighbors and friends, elderly community members, teachers, or to send along in troop care packages.

This card prints one sided on card stock.


This is the inside of the Snowman Craft Card

The larger card prints two sided on card stock. So you would print the inside of the card, then flip the paper over and print the outside of the card. The smaller card prints one sided and then folds.

Phillipsburg Mall Gave Operation: Send Some Cheer the Green Light!

The Phillipsburg Mall decided to donate space to Operation: Send Some Cheer for one week. We will be located at the Old Navy entrance, where Liberty Travel used to be, from November 28- December 4. Hopefully you'll come out and get involved with creating care packages and writing cards and letters of support to our troops.

Also don't forget 4 days left for our Logo Contest-- get your designs submitted!

You'll be glad you did if you're the winner- You get a T-shirt!!

Cute Little Donation Gift Bag Idea

Here's a cute donation idea to assemble with all those hotel toiletries you have and don't know what to do with. Please make sure that they are new, unused, and unopened before sending them. They are great for troop care packages ( think of Operation: Send Some Cheer), donated to a homeless shelter, a food pantry, or wherever you feel most comfortable seeing them go!

In each bag there is a bar of soap, a sample packet of toothpaste, 2 razors, shampoo, and conditioner.

Think of making it a little more festive by printing on business card style paper- little "Happy Holidays" notes and either hang them off the front under the bow, or slide into the front of the cello bag, so it makes a statement. Or if you are computer gifted- create a festive label to stick right onto the front of the package!

My kids look forward to assembling these little packages, so I hope you have as much fun with it as we do!

Snowman Soup Project Idea

Every year we make these little bags up and give them to just about everyone we know. My children pass them out at school, all of our family gets them, and last year for the first time, we sent them to the troops. Our goal was to try and send a little bit of festive holiday cheer- and what creates that more than a picture of a snowman while sipping hot cocoa! Again this year, we have started assembly in our house, and we encourage you to do the same. We would love for you to create them and send them to our "Operation: Send Some Cheer" to be included in every care package sent.

It's so simple to create. You can use just about any type of hot cocoa, candy cane, and hershey kisses. When we make them for friends, we bag mini marshmallows, but since they are going to service members, it can only be pre-packaged items, so we got the kind of cocoa that already has marshmallows in it! If you don't have hershey kisses, you can put small plain chocolate bars instead. Be sure to check expiration dates, they need to have a few months left on their shelf life, so we don't make anyone sick!

Now as for how many of each item- it's your call. I like to put in 2 cocoa packets, 4-6 kisses, and 2 candy canes. Singles are good to- do what you're comfortable with!

We have found a place willing to donate space for "Operation : Send Some Cheer" care package assembly taking place from November 28 - December 4. Location will be announced as soon as our paperwork is finalized! Be sure to write these dates down on your calenders so you can come out and get involved. The whole family is welcome to come along. We will have Holiday cards and craft supplies to draw pictures, and write letters to include in the care packages! More details to come!

In New Jersey snow showers are in the forecast for possibly making an arrival this weekend! Halloween still hasn't even been fully enjoyed! With that said....all I can think about is Holiday music and cookies! Yum! At the same time though, I'm reminded of all our Nations Deployed Soldiers and how different the Holidays will be for them.

Operation : Send Some Cheer will be in full swing soon enough with it's best efforts to try and bring "Some Cheer" through care packages. In preparation, we'll be collecting Holiday cards to send along too. So if you're ready to pull out your holiday supplies and purge last years card inventory or card making supplies...what a great way to put them to use...instead of the trash can eating them!

We will be hosting "Card and Letter Writing to the Troops" through out the Holiday Season at various events including our own care package assembly --Operation: Send Some Cheer.

On this site, it promotes environmental health and offers many learning experiences on how to incorporate easy tactics to reduce, reuse, and save! In exchange for watching short video clips or audio clips, you're rewarded with points that can be redeemed for amazing coupons. The coupons offered are a higher savings amount than a standard coupon, so I recommend giving this site a try. How To Play The Coupon Game

Every time I go to a store, I try to play my coupon game. It truly becomes a "game" to see how much I can get for "Free" to donate. It takes a little bit of preparation before heading to the store, but when I'm walking out with a bag full of items and only paid sales tax, it truly makes it worth my while.

So I start each shopping trip's plan with a visit to couponmom.com. She explains a variety of ways to organize your weekly coupons, some without pre-clipping them, to get you started if you have never couponed before. The site also hosts a ton of coupon to store match ups, so I can see the best deals all in a glance.

After printing my list and attaching the matched coupons, I visit another site- livingrichwithcoupons.com. Then again, I browse by selected store, and print my list (or I just hand jot it down on the other sites list,so I only have one).The site living rich with coupons, just became my favorite coupon site. It offers really good printable coupons right on the site and they're super easy to navigate to.

As I'm assembling my list, I mentally sort where each piece is going after it's been purchased. Such as toiletries that are full size- the food bank or shelter, travel size items- troop care packages or homeless care bags, small packaged food items- troop care packages or homeless care bags, regular size groceries- food bank, and so on.

Target allows the use of a manufacture coupon and a store coupon- which you can print from their website. That equals a ton more savings! Both coupon sites listed above have the match-ups listed for easy viewing. I just learned that Wal Mart's site has coupons too. They don't offer store coupons though, just manufacturers only. I'm sure there are a ton of other coupon sites as well, so use what you're comfortable with. I recommend if you're new to pick one store and focus on that until you comfortable, couponing is wonderful, but can be overwhelming in the beginning because there's such an abundance of deals out there. So start small so you don't get discouraged and quit.

Coupons really work and by making it a game, turns it into fun!

Here's a few snapshots of my "almost free" items.

After using coupons, all this was only $.97 plus tax!

After all coupons the total was only $7.98 plus tax! (2 cans of gravy & 2 suave kids products are missing photo)

Another great idea too is when the stores send out promotional coupons. In our area Kohl's sends out $10 off any purchase quite often, so I take it and buy socks, or chapsticks, or gloves to put in my bins. JCPenny recently just sent out the same promotion- so I'll be doing the same. I know Bon Ton is another. It's amazing how much "Free" money adds up and is given out. Why not give back to the community and use it in another way.

Many times the store coupons are the ones forgotten on the kitchen table or desk, and you wind up throwing them in the trash. So if you generally don't use these kind of coupons and you're used to paying the price without them for your own items, then I encourage you to keep doing that.Focus on these types of coupons for charitable giving. This way you look at them differently, than saving for yourself. Look at them as an opportunity to make someone else happy! I know with the Holiday's approaching "Giving Trees" will be popping up all over with wish lists for local families in need. What a perfect opportunity to learn couponing for a good cause. Think of it as " the store gave you money to use for good- not yourself" and have fun trying to get as many items as you can, or score a good deal, however you need to see it to do it!

I also recommend purchasing a small coupon folder to carry in your purse or car. Then organize it to have a slot to house- "Free" store coupons (such as $10 off $10 purchase), Grocery store A's coupons and list, Grocery store B's coupons and list, Store C's coupons and list, and so on. This way when your out, you're always prepared for saving and helping! Or, if you're up to it, create a "coupon binder". You can even get in the habit of keeping a few reusable bags in your trunk, most stores give a credit for each bag used. So you'll save some cash, and do the environment some good!

I keep getting asked what to do next with the "free" stuff. Many stores have bins right when you walk in for donations supporting some cause. If you're not sure where to bring your items, don't have room in your home, or just the thought of keeping extra stuff in your living quarters freaks you out, that's a great starting place. Everything donated goes somewhere to be used for good.

What I do though, is keep a few small tote bins in my house to put the collected items in. Each one houses a different cause that I'm working on, so it's easy to use them when needed. It's amazing how quickly they fill. It not only is appreciated by the recipient, it also makes a lasting impact on my children to see how easy it is to help make a difference.

Easy Way To Do Some Good!

Each week I look forward to Sunday. Not because it's generally a relaxing day, but because I can't wait to play what I have dubbed "the coupon game". I make coffee, get the newspaper, and match my coupons with local store's sales flyers. I make it a game by trying to see how many items I can get for free, or close to it, that I can donate. I use the smaller travel size items for the troops, or when we are traveling we use them in homeless care bags to hand out, and the full size stuff for Norwescap.

It's a great way to get involved and costs next to nothing, just a little bit of time. There are plenty of websites that do most of the work for you too, such as couponmom.com , provides a list with the sales flyer and coupons matched up in list form, with a total of how much the item would be. So I encourage every one to give the "coupon game" a try and see how much you can get for free to help make a difference. Happy Clipping!

On Saturday, October 1st, Greenwich Township is holding a town wide yard sale, and so, we have added a food collection site for the day. Donations can be dropped off at 138 Washington Street, a bin will be outside on the front porch.

World Food Day

October 16th

is a worldwide event

is running a food drive to benefit Norwescap,

and we need your help! Join our efforts to raise 500 lbs of food

to be donated to hungry New Jersians across the county.

Get Upset and Get Involved

Trying daily to increase world happiness through utilizing independent grass roots initiative movements. Focusing on one person or cause at a time, while encouraging others to join in.

Inspired by a song "Get Upset and Get Involved" I took my children and set out on a journey to feed some of America's homeless population, while teaching them respect for the planet and other fellow inhabitants. Always trying to reduce our carbon foot print along the way! After such an inspirational few months from New Jersey to California and everywhere in between, we needed to figure out a way to help our local area as well, and this blog was born to do so.
